Chrys was born blind, tall, and lanky. However, he was gifted infinite vision as child for his accomplishment of defeating Grand Master Merlin in blindfolded Wizard Chess at the spry age of 11. Grand Master Merlin was impressed by the skills of young Chrys, and having not seen such sacrifices ever played by a human — let alone a blind child — Merlin in turn burnt his remaining liquid diamond elixer in order to mint Chrys’ prize — Infinite Binocular Vision through Diamond Lens Glasses. Without any diamond elixer remaining to replenish his wizard soul, Grand Master Merlin slowly dissolved his body, so that his spirit could live on among CrunkForest, where..legend has it that..the Spirit of GM Merlin remains to this very day…if you find chessboard in CrunkForest, Merlin’s spirit is destined to be nearby..just wait for the wind to calm down..(GM Merlin is hard of hearing)…speak your move…and Merlin will respond over the board.
