Learn the rules like a pro, break them like an artist. The opening rules say take
the center, develop knights before the queen, and castle early. In this 3|0 blitz
game I had Black against Easymizy and broke all three: 1…g5 (the Borg), an early
4…Qa5, a kingside pawn charge with …g4 and …h5, and a king that never castled. Breaking
a rule only works when you know what it costs. From move 18 on, my pieces kept giving
check, so White never got time to punish my king. 27…Qb1+ was the last check before
White’s clock ran out.
