A King’s Gambit with a quick finish: 17 moves, and Black resigns. The big swing
comes on move 12, when Nc7+ wins Black’s queen for a knight. Pour a cup and see
how far ahead you can spot 17.Qxd7.

**Move 9. White to move after 8…exd4.**

Nb5 hits c7 and the center. Black plays c6. Then e5 opens the line.

Nc7+ takes the queen for a knight. The pawn on c7 stays. Re1+ and Bxe3 finish the
net. Qxd4 and Qxd7 clean up.

The miss for Black is the early bishop trade on f3 and the king still in the center
when the e-file opens. Name that. Keep going.

I wish you the best of luck!!
