Blunder Town

All chess games pass through blunder town, some head straight to it and through it and reach the other side unscathed, while others detour great lengths to circle around it. Most coaches recommend to not navigate that way. Some, knowing full and well that they’ll have to find a clever alibi along the way, justify their chosen route with impressive speed, but lo and behold, the Blunder Police call Blunder Town: Home, and once they catch wind of a speed racer passing through, they’ll have a trap set at every exit, and road spikes on every bridge, so you’ll have to sacrifice everything to sneak through, most can’t ever lose enough friction to take flight, frankly that’s the best way to escape..all chess games pass through blunder town..whether you wandered there looking for a shortcut or perhaps because you missed your preferred exit, it really doesn’t make much difference .. just know, when you find yourself in blunder town (& might I add, you’ll find yourself there often), you’ve passed the point of no return, so don’t despair, keep going through it and remember that all chess games pass through blunder town, don’t stay there too long, most of the roads there are in fact dead ends, but there are always a few paths out, and they may seem dubious at first and brilliant much later, but it’s not your destination, so keep going, or you’ll never make it to checkmate mountain, let alone drawbridge beach.

PS, this sure is a great setting for a chess book but I don’t know if I should stop to write it or just keep living it instead..turns out I’m stuck in Blundertown..I should probably get moving, or else I might never leave!
